background from tiles?

Hi, I've got a quick question... is it possible to create a background out of tiles? I originally thought that would be the workflow, but that's not the case is it?

Any plans to provide this functionality? I'm assuming of course that the background tiles would get written to one or several large bitmaps at runtime. Would make for smaller downloads, and potentially more flexible background creation.

I don't get what you mean.
You can have one large background (even split in a number of parts), or you can create tiles with specific skins to be used to create a sort of "bottom" layer.
