I have another question, I just finished a game using the ranch example as a base and added other stuff, which used both smartfoxserver pro and openspace 1.
I´m almost done. If I buy SFX2 will I be able to just install the server and store the application or is SFX2 so different from SFX Pro that I would have to change code and the structure of the client?
I´m about to but SFX 2 for 500 users but...

I pmed a fellow developer here ...
No one responded in the forums, so I pm´ed a fellow developer here
and he wrote back to me:
Hi,
I have only really used the SFS2X so I cannot answer very clearly.
I believe that there are going to be significant differences that require you to recode.
I have heard others say that if you already have completed a game in SFS1x then it would make sense to stay with SFS1x unless there are some functionalities you need that are only found in SFS2x.
If you upgrade to SFS2x you will have to turn in your SFS1x license.

This is what I responded back to him:
Thanks a lot man, what I´m planning to do then thanks to your advice is to keep using SFX1 for a while, and expand to 500 users and then to the unlimited sfxpro (2000 euros).
I will work on the a upgraded version of the same game for openspace 2 and sfx2 likewise simultaneously (which will involve a store, the main reason that I am upgrading to sfx2) and hopefully they will let me upgrade from sfx unlimited to sfx2 for 5000 users which will give me a 500 euro difference to cover.
I really hope the latter is possible.
Thanks a lot.
Btw I am posting the pms so we can all learn from each other and our mistakes.

OpenSpace 1 is not compatible with SmartFoxServer 2X. You will also have to upgrade OpenSpace to version 2, in particular the one compatible with SFS2X.fabianres@live.com.mx wrote:I have another question, I just finished a game using the ranch example as a base and added other stuff, which used both smartfoxserver pro and openspace 1.
