Newbie Help

Ok I installed the 2X version and runs fine with me through a localhost. I can connect to simple chat and everything. I setup my ports properly and gave my buddy my ip address to access to see if he could log into simple chat with me as well. He gets the same welcome screen as I do and clicks simple chat. When he chooses a username but after that it never connects to the server. He used the connector and it connects through 127.0.0.1 which I am guessing is what is suppose to happen?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

can your friend telnet your machine on port 9933 and get a connection? from smartfox?

eg.
telnet your.ip.address 9933

if you don't get a connection you probably have a firewall blocking it.

As a reminder also consider that all examples connect to address 127.0.0.1 so they will work only on your local machine.
